Randy Bryant said...: I wonder if you don't have the return trail named wrong. I believe it is called the Pinacles trail not the Palisades. I have been to the Chisos 6 times over 30 years and Emory Peak 4 times, the South Rim once. Last trip was this weekend (Thanksgiving). I have looked at lots of trail guids and never sow anything labled as Palisades.

We did Ernst Tinaja this time, and have done Cat Tail Falls twice, and Santa Elena Canyon Raft ride twice (including the beautiful Fern Canyon side trip).
